By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Who we are
The Service is operated by Quads Lab LLC. PastaPass is an independent pasta-tracking app that lets you log the pasta dishes, sauces, proteins, soups, salads, and signature dishes you eat, earn stamps, and build a personal “pasta passport.” If you have any questions about this policy, contact us at [email protected].
2. Information we collect
Information you provide
- Account information. When you create an account we collect your email address, and — if you sign in with Google or Apple — your name and profile photo as shared by that provider. We use a “sign in with a link” (magic link) and social sign-in; we do not ask you to create or store a password with us.
- Content you create. The meals you log (your pasta, sauce, and protein selections, signature dishes, soups, and salads), along with any ratings, notes, favorites, stamps earned, and timestamps.
- Communications. If you email us, we keep your message and contact details to respond.
Information collected automatically
- Usage and device data. Basic technical information such as your IP address, browser or device type, and pages or features used, collected through standard server logs to operate and secure the Service.
- Cookies. We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and to maintain your session. See “Cookies” below.
3. How we use information
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Service and your pasta passport.
- Authenticate you and keep your account and stamps synced across your devices.
- Send you sign-in links and, where applicable, service-related messages.
- Monitor usage, prevent abuse, debug, and protect the security of the Service.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
4. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as described here:
- Service providers. We use trusted third parties to run the Service, including hosting and database infrastructure (Railway), transactional email delivery (Resend), and sign-in providers (Google and Apple). They process information only to provide services to us.
- Legal reasons. If required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Quads Lab LLC, our users, or others.
- Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
5. Cookies
We use cookies that are strictly necessary to operate the Service — primarily to store your session and keep you signed in. These cookies are set as secure, HTTP-only cookies where possible. We do not use advertising cookies. Because these cookies are essential, disabling them may prevent you from signing in or using core features.
6. Data retention
We keep your account information and logged content for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. Sign-in links expire shortly after they are issued. When you delete your account, we delete or de-identify your personal information within a reasonable period, except where we must retain it to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements.
7. Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit (HTTPS) and access controls. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights — including deleting your account and associated data — contact us at [email protected]. We will respond consistent with applicable law and will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
9. Children’s privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will take steps to delete it.
10. International users
We operate the Service from the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, you understand your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States, where data-protection laws may differ from those in your country.
11. Third-party services and links
The Service integrates with and may link to third-party services (such as Google, Apple, and app stores). Their handling of your information is governed by their own privacy policies, not this one. We encourage you to review them.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
